More part time jobs available is good news to students. Although the students are only allowed to work 20 hours a week during school term, there are more options available.
This can also be good news to new migrants for they can get to try working in two or more different jobs until they find a company who can get them as a full time employee. This increases their network and can increase their chance of getting a permanent role.
When there aren\’t so many full time jobs available, employers might find it difficult to sponsor overseas workers. However, if they can prove that the skill set they are looking for is not locally available, they can still go ahead and sponsor international talent.
